If you thought vacuuming robots were revolutionary, the latest home tech innovations unveiled at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2019 will blow your mind. This year’s CES saw tech wizards and enthusiasts gathered in Las Vegas for the annual conference, feasting their eyes on the weird and wonderful innovations from over 450,000 companies, designed to entertain, thrill and, most importantly, make our lives a little bit easier.

These amazing new gadgets, all seen at the show, will be streamlining your domestic life in 2019 and beyond.

Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 960 robot vacuum cleaner

This one is for those Roomba enthusiasts mentioned above.

Ecovacs launched the newest wave of robot vacuum cleaners – now equipped with Artificial Intelligence. The Deebot Ozmo 960 has machine learning abilities and is able to identify over 500 objects (with plans to add more to its database in the near future).

This little guy’s massive database means that it knows which objects to avoid, creating a seamless cleaning experience.

Kohler Numi 2.0 Intelligent Toilet

The clear trend at CES 2019 was smart products: almost every household item can and has been automated – and the trusty toilet is no exception.

The team at Kohler Numi has turned this extremely unsexy necessity into a chic little number, complete with mood music and ambient lighting.

Thanks to Amazon’s Alexa, users can access the latest news and weather updates or heat the seat to their desired temperature, solely using voice commands.

But don’t let these luxurious extras overshadow the key functions that make this toilet so wonderful: it’s self-deodorising and cleaning!

Instant Pot Smart Wi-Fi pressure cooker

CES 2018 saw the addition of Wi-Fi to the already incredible pressure cooker/slow cooker/steamer combo from the Instant Pot team. Wi-Fi allowed users to check the progress of their meal from anywhere, making it near impossible to burn the stew.

This year, the gadget has been rocketed further into the future with the addition of Google Assistant, meaning users can program and operate their cooker completely hands-free – simply ask how your meal is coming along and all will be revealed. Nervous cooks can choose to receive alerts and notifications from the cooker straight to their mobile devices.

Capstone Connected Home Smart Mirror

This gadget is straight out of a science fiction movie – a Smart Mirror powered by Google that allows users to check emails, social media, weather, traffic or even stream videos on its (yet to be revealed) downloadable applications. When not in use, the Smart Mirror will blend seamlessly into your home, looking like a regular run of the mill mirror – but springing to life with a touch or voice command.

Once you get past the odd sensation of talking to yourself in the mirror, you’ll be able to compose emails whilst brushing your teeth, then catch up on the news whilst putting your face on – the ultimate multitasking tool.

Purrsong Lavviebot

This product falls under the ‘weird’ category, but it’s innovative nonetheless.

Another far-out invention from South Korea, this automated, self-cleaning, kitty litter tray creates a futuristic toilet experience for your feline friend.

The sleek, minimalistic contraption noiselessly rakes away your cat’s business into a discreet lined bag, which only needs changing once every two weeks. You can set the frequency of rakings, and even choose to receive a text each time the tray has been used. The Lavvibot’s clever sensors allow it to monitor your pet’s weight and even differentiate between multiple cats.

The stand out feature of the Purrsong Lavviebot compared to other self-cleaning litter trays (yes, there are more than one!) is its ability to add fresh kitty litter – brilliant!
